Form 2555-EZ, lines 12 and 14

Post by kiwicanuck »

I am a Bona Fide resident of Canada. On line 12 of Form 2555-EZ, I report 14 days spent in the USA. It was 14 days of vacation. I enter 0 in column (c) and 0 in column (d). My question: on line 14, do I enter 365 or 351?
Thank you.

Enter 365. The instructions for line 14 state:
"Enter the number of days in your
qualifying period that fall within 2014. Your
qualifying period is the period during
which you meet the tax home test and
either the bona fide residence test or the
physical presence test."
You were a bona fide resident of Canada for all of 2014, including the days you were in the US.
Not a professional opinion.
