I am working on TN visa since 2006. When i moved to US in middle of 2006 I filed Canadian tax and and US tax seperately in 2007(for 2006).
After that I have only filed in US.
I have no residential ties with Canada since 2006(my wiife moved with me and kids were born in US) and at this point still will be working in US for few more years.
Can I be considered non resident even if I am not sure my last tax was filed as departure?
When i move back to Canada, can I start filing again as new comer?
Thanks

It is too late for CRA to come after you even if you made some mistakes on your 2006 return, I would not worry.
You are non-resident, and will be a newcomer should you ever re-establish more ties in Canada than US.
