FIRST TIMER ... CANADA AND US TAX

Post by Yssa3675 »

Hello,
The more i read the more confuse i get.

I moved to US MAY 2013 and got married.
So for my tax in Canada: are this correct
1. That i will file married? ( i read that since i was not married when i was in canada i will file single? , correct?
2. That 2013 will be my exit tax?

For US tax, i dont have income for 2013. My husband and i will be filling jointly.
Fyi. I have Rrsp in Canada, and less than 10 k cash in the bank.
1. Form 8938 and 8891 for RRSP
2. FBAR FOR THE CASH ?
