Divorce in US, moving back to Canada or other part of US

Post by lostdude »

Hello, i thought i sent a message earlier but it is not up, i don't know if i hit the submit button or not. here is my story, i am in the US as PR, getting a divorce and moving back to Canada (i am a canadian citizen) or either remaining in the US close to Canada. THat way i wont lost my PR. My other option is to give up my GC and move permanently to US. I would like to know how to handle either of the situations. IF i move back to Canada, who do i notify about my divorce, IF divorce is done by end of this year, do i file as married or divorce?
