US PR, Canadian citizen- worked in Canada a little

Post by pms151 »

Hello there. Last year I filed a departure return for Canada as I had moved to the US in May 2010 to be with my family and to work. I ran out of work in the US and ended up back in Canada for work for December 2010 and for a few months early 2011, then left again in April. I have been in the US living and working since. There is no question of my residency as being in the US in 2011. How do I go about filing taxes in Canada for this period (Jan - April 2011)? Is it just as simple as doing a regular Canadian tax return just without the personal and dependent amounts?
Thanks
Paul
