US citizen working in Canada

Post by georgeyn »

I'm a US citizen and moved to Canada last June because of job, my wife is still working in the states, can I file married joint 1040? what other forms I should file for the US tax return? 8833 or 2555?

Thanks,

George

As a US Citizen you continue to file MFJ so your taxed on worldwide income and can exclude CND earned income using 2555 if meet the test of physical presence or bona fide tes read all threads in this forum posted by Nelsona who explains this many times.
